I consider myself very lucky. I grew up in an environment that nurtured creativity. My parents met in art school and my Dad supported our family as an artist. As a child I remember playing in his studio and watching him work. My Mom would set up still lifes and encourage me to paint. Both my parents played a major role in shaping who I am as an artist today.
It was my Dad's work (*especially his work as a designer for Blenko Glass) that taught me that the world around us is enhanced by instilling beauty into the functional objects that people use on a daily basis. This is the philosophy I try to convey in the pieces I create.
Thank you for taking the time to view my work.
